250% growth in User Base in 2 months for a mobile App

Thinkly is a blogging app which offers people an online platform to write and express their thoughts. Earlier the client had contacted us for app downloads. The challenge with that was we used to get a lot of fake app downloads. People used to download the app but they were not registering on the app.

We suggested the client to conduct a contest/competition as a strategy. So people interested in the contest had to download the app, register themselves and only then they were eligible to be considered for the competition.

Because of this initiative, the client started getting only fair downloads. People who were genuinely interested started downloading the app, registering for the contest and posting their entries.

The cost of content significantly came down by more than 90%, which the client used to pay to the content writers to write content on their app. Also, the app downloads and the genuine app downloads which came down to just 10% of the earlier download cost.

We suggested the client run these contests on a regular basis to get new users coming to the app and also nurture the existing audience to write more content. Thinkly is growing with its popularity among the writers and soon to be a default choice for anyone who wish to Express onself.
