Sales Automation for Sailing Startup. Increase in Leads flow by 900%

This is the success story of a startup using social media advertisements to put their sales into automation. Gateway Fun Sailing is a startup which rents out private yachts for people to experience sailing in the Arabian Sea near the iconic Gateway of India in Mumbai.

The typical challenge this startup was facing was demand generation for its services. We created a comprehensive yet simple digital marketing plan that firstly focused on the product.

The product wasn’t just a couple of hours or 4 hours of sailing on a yacht but the entire experience from a customer posting an enquiry to the time he/she would get back onshore having experienced sailing on a private yacht. We asked the client to design this whole experience and then follow that process.

Next, we identified the target audience. We identified 15 km of radius around Gateway of India from which the majority of customers would be expected to visit.

The client also had an old website which was really dated. We created a microsite which depicted the luxurious experience that the client’s services provide.

Next, we identified around 56 odd occasions (anniversaries, birthdays, promotional parties, etc.) in a person’s life wherein he or she would like to celebrate on a yacht with friends and family. We ran digital campaigns centred around all these occasions, offering people a unique way of celebrating these various special occasions.

Within one month of running the campaigns, we generated over 1100 enquiries and greatly exceeded the client’s expectations.
